Efficiency of laser devices
How long does it take to see results when using the HairMax laser device to treat hair loss?
Results from HairMax laser hair loss treatment typically begin to show in 12-16 weeks. Normally, hair grows about 0.5 inches per month. Therefore, laser hair loss treatment is not an “overnight solution.” It is an ongoing, long-term treatment that you can achieve. It is important to give your treatment time and observe the results, which will vary from person to person. Clinical studies have shown that over 90% of users experience significant hair growth, and some of our researchers even predict even greater results with continued use, exceeding the 26-week trial.
What positive results can I expect from using the HairMax laser?
The following data shows the response to HairMax laser treatment: new hair growth, reduced thinning, stronger hair, thicker and denser hair, healthier, shinier hair, and reduced hair loss.
Is HairMax laser equipment right for me?
Results vary from person to person, but in clinical studies, over 90% of those who participated experienced significant hair regrowth, with an average of 129 new hairs growing per square inch.
Are more expensive laser devices that produce better light and therefore better at treating hair loss?
No, all of our laser devices deliver the same level of light energy and provide the same treatment results. The only difference is the treatment time per session. The more lasers, the less time per session, making the device more comfortable to use than models with fewer lasers.
How long do I have to use the HairMax laser device? Or is it permanent?
For effective treatment, we recommend that you continue to use the laser treatment as often as possible. However, if you notice that your hair has become thicker, you may reduce your use to twice a week. However, if you start experiencing hair loss again, you will need to revert back to your normal three times a week use.
Does the HairMax laser device treat hair loss all over the scalp or just the top area?
HairMax laser devices can treat hair loss and thinning hair on the entire scalp, whether it's the top, front, sides, or back of the head.
I've been using the HairMax laser for hair loss for several weeks, but I'm still not seeing any significant results. What should I do?
We recommend that you use it consistently and see long-term results. HairMax laser devices work on two mechanisms: 1. to promote new hair growth and 2. to preserve existing hair. Therefore, we recommend that you use the device continuously for at least 20 weeks before judging results.
Can HairMax lasers be used in conjunction with other hair care products?
HairMax lasers are safe and can be used in conjunction with other hair products, including minoxidil and finasteride.
Technical equipment information
How strong is the laser? Is it strong enough? And how long does it last?
The HairMax laser hair loss treatment device is a safe and effective at-home device that has been cleared by the US FDA for safety and effectiveness, suitable for both men and women. In addition, every HairMax device is designed to last for 10-15 years. Regarding the laser energy, every HairMax laser is a low-power laser with a wavelength of 655 nanometers and an energy of 5 milliwatts per laser. Using high-quality materials, the HairMax laser device has been tested for 15,000 hours. If the laser begins to malfunction, the energy output will not decrease but the lamp will completely stop working. This means that every time the laser lamp is on, it is always at its full efficiency.
How often do HairMax laser devices need to be charged?
HairMax laser devices have internal rechargeable batteries, and once charged, they can last for several more uses depending on the model. However, when the battery capacity is low and needs to be recharged, a red, blinking indicator light will flash and vary by model. We recommend charging when the battery indicator light starts blinking. To preserve battery life, do not charge after each use. When fully charged, the indicator light will stop working. For charging times for different models and for more details, please consult your device manual for charging details.
Will the laser power decrease if the battery has less power?
The emitted light energy will be uniform even as the battery charge decreases, and whenever the power is insufficient, the device will automatically shut down. If you are using it and the device shuts down due to insufficient battery power, we recommend that you plug in the charger and continue using it until the time is up, but please check the battery power level and charge the device regularly when it notifies you of a low power level.

Side effects and concerns
Are there any side effects from using the HairMax laser device to treat hair loss?
Over the past 15 years, no harmful side effects have been reported from the HairMax laser, either commercially available or in research.
Can the laser light from the HairMax cause skin burns?
The HairMax laser does not cause skin burns because it is a low-power laser that does not generate heat, so it does not cause burns to the scalp or skin.
Can HairMax laser devices be used for more than the recommended usage?
Our laser light is safe and gentle. Frequent use of the laser device does not necessarily result in better results. It may over-stimulate the hair follicles, which may reduce the results. Therefore, we recommend using the device as directed for best results.
The first time I used the HairMax laser, I felt a tingling sensation and itching.
Will these symptoms go away? When you start using the HairMax laser hair loss treatment, your hair follicles are stimulated and blood flow is increased, so you may experience a tingling sensation on your scalp or an itchy feeling. These symptoms usually disappear within 1-2 weeks of continued use.
If I use a laser device from HairMax, will I get skin cancer?
Using the HairMax laser device does not cause skin cancer. The light energy that does cause cancer is UVA rays from sunlight. The laser light in the HairMax device has a completely different wavelength than UVA rays. However, if you are being treated for scalp skin cancer, you should consult your doctor about light therapy first.
What happens if I stare at the laser from the HairMax laser device?
You should not stare directly into the laser beam or into the reflected light through a mirror. Staring too directly into the light may cause eye irritation.
If I am pregnant, can I use the HairMax laser device?
As with all medications or medical devices, we recommend that you consult your doctor about whether to begin using the HairMax laser if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
